Free tool

Graphing calculator, plot any function.

Type a function of x, like x^2 - 3, sin(x) or 2^x, and it is drawn on a grid at once. Add up to six functions in different colours, drag to move around, scroll or pinch to zoom, and hover to read values. The page marks where each curve crosses zero and where curves meet, and lists them. Save the graph as a PNG for homework or slides.

    Use x, + - * / ^, brackets, sqrt, sin, cos, tan, ln, log, abs, pi and e. 2x and 3(x+1) work.

Drawn in your browser. Your functions are kept in this browser and never sent anywhere.

    01 / Plot

    Up to six at once

Each function in its own colour, redrawn as you type, with clear messages for typing mistakes.

    02 / Explore

    Pan, zoom, hover

Drag the grid, scroll or pinch to zoom, and hover to read x and y on every curve.

    03 / Find

    Zeros and crossings

Points where a curve crosses zero, or two curves meet, are marked and listed.

    Questions

    Good to know.

How do I graph a function?

    Type it after y =, using x. For example x^2 - 2x + 1.

Can I plot more than one function?

Yes, up to six. Press Add a function.

How do I find where a graph crosses the x-axis?

The crossings in view are marked and listed under the graph.

    Does it do degrees?

Yes. Set Angles to Degrees for sin, cos and tan.

    Can I save the graph?

    Yes, as a PNG.
