Guide
The time in Dubai is Gulf Standard Time, UTC+4. The whole of the United Arab Emirates keeps this one clock, and the country does not use daylight saving time, so Dubai stays at UTC+4 all year. The big clock above shows Dubai time to the second from your device clock, with the date, and the cards give the offset and your gap to Dubai right now.
The UAE government's fact sheet on u.ae says the UAE is 4 hours ahead of GMT. The IANA time zone database lists Asia/Dubai at UTC+4 with no daylight saving rule, and it lists the zone only by its offset, +04, with no letter abbreviation. The page reads the current rules from your browser, so it shows no clock change for Dubai in the next two years. Checked 18 Oct 2026.
Dubai stays at UTC+4, so the gap changes only when the other place moves its clocks. The table shows how far Dubai is ahead of each place in the middle of January and July 2026.
| Place | Dubai vs the place, 15 Jan 2026 | Dubai vs the place, 15 Jul 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| India (Kolkata) | 1 h 30 min behind | 1 h 30 min behind |
| London | 4 h ahead | 3 h ahead |
| New York | 9 h ahead | 8 h ahead |
| Singapore | 4 h behind | 4 h behind |
| Sydney | 7 h behind | 6 h behind |
India is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Dubai all year, so Dubai is behind India by that much. Singapore is 4 hours ahead and does not change. London and New York move their clocks, so their gaps change, and Sydney moves them the other way round, so its gap changes in April and October.
Suppose it is 9:00 AM on Tuesday 20 October 2026 where you are. Convert to UTC with your own offset and add 4 hours.
| When it is | The time in Dubai |
|---|---|
| 9:00 AM New York, Tue 20 Oct 2026 | 5:00 PM (Tue 20 Oct) |
| 9:00 AM London, Tue 20 Oct 2026 | 12:00 PM (Tue 20 Oct) |
| 9:00 AM Singapore, Tue 20 Oct 2026 | 5:00 AM (Tue 20 Oct) |
The arithmetic for New York: 9:00 AM EDT is 1:00 PM UTC (EDT is 4 hours behind UTC), and adding 4 hours gives 5:00 PM in Dubai. For London on BST, 9:00 AM is 8:00 AM UTC, so it is noon in Dubai. In winter, when London is on GMT, the same 9:00 AM is 1:00 PM in Dubai.
Because Dubai never changes, the call times you set in Dubai stay the same all year and the other side moves. A call at 3:00 PM Dubai time is 7:00 AM in New York in summer and 6:00 AM in winter. If you run a standing call with Dubai, check the first call after your own clocks change. The Difference from you card shows today's gap, and the Dubai strip shows common hours of your day.
Dubai is a common stop between Asia and Europe, so people often compare it with India, London and Singapore. The world clock row at the bottom of the tool shows the time in each of those, with their gap to Dubai, updating every second.
Three mistakes come up. Some people expect Dubai to move its clocks in summer, which it does not. Others forget the half hour in India's offset, so a call with Dubai and India on the same invite needs both gaps checked. And the date may differ: Dubai is 8 or 9 hours ahead of New York, so an early morning in Dubai is the evening before in New York.
The page shows your device clock converted to Dubai time. If the device clock is a few seconds off, so is the page. The online clock has a Check my clock button that compares your device with the web server.
