Questions

Good to know.

Is it really free to download?

Yes. Many resume sites let you build for free and then ask you to pay or sign up to download. Here the PDF downloads straight away, with no account, no watermark and no limit.

Can applicant tracking systems read it?

The PDF holds real, selectable text in reading order, with plain headings such as Experience and Education, which is what those systems read. Classic, Modern and Compact are one column, the safest choice for online job forms. Sidebar puts contact details and skills in a side column, which reads well for people but some older systems read less reliably.

Should I add a photo?

It depends on the country. In the United States and the United Kingdom most employers expect no photo; in parts of Europe and Asia a photo is common. The photo is optional and only shows in the Modern and Sidebar layouts.

Where is my resume saved?

Only in this browser's own storage, so you can close the tab and come back to it. It is never sent to us. On a shared computer, use "start empty" when you are done.

One page or two?

Most hiring guides suggest one page for early careers and up to two for long ones. The preview shows the page count as you type; Small text size or the Compact layout fit more on a page.

Which languages work?

The PDF font covers the Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and Vietnamese alphabets, so English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Turkish, Russian and many more work. Other scripts, such as Chinese or Bangla, are not in the font yet and show as question marks.
