Wordle solver, from your clues.

Stuck on today's five-letter word? Type each guess you made, tap its letters to match the colours you got, green for the right spot, yellow for in the word but elsewhere, grey for not in it, and see every word that still fits. The best next guess comes first, picked from the letters most of the remaining words share. Tap any word to add it as your next guess.

Tap a letter to change its colour: grey, then yellow, then green.

How it narrows

Each colour rules words out.

01 / Green

Right letter, right spot

Only words with that letter in that position stay in the list.

02 / Yellow

In the word, elsewhere

Words must have the letter, but not in that spot.

03 / Grey

Not in the word

Words with the letter go, unless the same letter is also green or yellow in that guess; then it caps how many times it appears.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I use the solver?

Type the guess you made, press Add guess, then tap each letter until its colour matches the game. The list shows every word that still fits.

What is the best next guess?

The word that uses letters most of the remaining words share, so whatever colours come back, the list shrinks the most.

What about double letters?

They follow the game's usual rule: if one copy is yellow or green and another grey, the word has that letter exactly as many times as it is coloured.

Does it know today's answer?

No. It only knows the clues you enter and a list of English words.

Is this the official game?

No. Wordle is a game by The New York Times; this is an independent helper.
