Free tool

Add page numbers to a PDF, in any style.

Number the pages of a PDF in one go: choose where the number goes, a style such as "Page 1 of 10", the number to start from, and whether to skip the cover page. The thumbnails show the result before you save. Nothing is uploaded.

The PDF is changed in your browser. It is never uploaded.

Questions

Good to know.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The numbers are added in this browser tab.

Can I start from a number other than 1?

Yes. Set "Start at", for example 5 for a chapter that continues a book. Skip the cover page to start numbering on page 2.

Will the numbers cover my text?

They sit 28 points (about 1 cm) from the edge, where most documents have a margin. Check the thumbnails, and pick the top if the bottom is full.

Can I remove the numbers later?

They become part of the page. Keep your original file if you may need it without numbers.
