Free tool

Add text to a photo, styled your way.

Drop a photo and type: a caption, a quote, a date, a sale price. Pick from 17 fonts, from bold display faces to handwriting, then add an outline, a shadow or a box behind the words, curve the line, tilt it and drag it where you want. Add as many text layers as you like, or a logo. The photo is saved at its full size, with no watermark.

The photo is edited in your browser and never uploaded.

What you can do

Words that stand out.

01 / Readable

Outline, shadow or a box

Light text on a busy photo gets lost. An outline, a soft shadow or a box behind keeps it readable on any background.

02 / Curved

Bend the line

Curve the text up into an arch or down into a smile, for badges, stamps and labels.

03 / Full size

No quality lost

You edit a preview, and the file is drawn again at the photo's own size, as JPG, PNG or WebP.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I add text to a photo?

Drop the photo, type in the Text box, pick a font and colour, and drag the text where you want it. Press + Text for another line, then Download.

Will the photo lose quality?

No. The photo is redrawn at its original size with your text on top, and saved as the same type unless you choose another.

Can I curve the text?

Yes. Use the Curve slider: right bends the line into an arch, left into a smile.

Is there a watermark?

No. Nothing is added except your own text.

Can I add a logo too?

Yes. Press + Logo or sticker and pick a PNG; see-through edges stay see-through.
