Free tool

Annotate image, point at what matters.

Paste a screenshot or drop a picture and mark it up: arrows, boxes, circles, lines, a pen, a highlighter, text, numbered steps, and pixelate to hide emails, names or passwords. Every mark can be moved, recoloured or deleted until you save. Copy the result straight into a chat, a ticket or a document, or download a full-size PNG.

Your picture is marked up in your browser. It is never uploaded.

Show, number, hide.

01 / Point

One arrow per idea

Point to the one button or field that matters. A box round a whole area works when the reader needs context.

02 / Steps

Numbered in order

Each click of Steps adds the next number, so a how-to reads 1, 2, 3 without typing a thing.

03 / Privacy

Hide before you share

Pixelate emails, names, card numbers and API keys before the screenshot leaves your Mac.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I paste a screenshot?

On a Mac, press Shift + Command + Control + 4, drag over what you want, then press Command + V on this page. On Windows, press Windows + Shift + S, then Control + V. A file works too: drop it on the box or click to choose.

Is the picture uploaded?

No. It is opened and drawn on in this tab, so screenshots with private details stay on your computer.

Is pixelate safe for hiding passwords?

The saved picture keeps only big coloured blocks where the area was, made from a much smaller copy, so the text is gone from the file. For anything very sensitive, a solid black box (Box tool with a thick black line, or crop it out) is the safest choice.

Can I change a mark after drawing it?

Yes. Pick Select, click the mark, then drag to move it, pick a colour or a size to change it, or press Delete. Undo goes back step by step.

What size is the saved picture?

The same size as the one you opened, with the marks drawn sharp at that size.
