Are my pictures uploaded?
No. They are changed in this tab with your browser, so they never leave your computer.
Which is safest?
A black box. It removes the pixels completely. Strong blur and pixelation hide text well, but very small or very large text can sometimes be guessed, so use black for passwords and card numbers.
Can someone undo it?
Not from the new file: the original pixels are replaced, not covered by a layer. Keep the original to yourself, because it still has everything.
Does it find faces by itself?
No. You mark each part yourself, which also means nothing is sent to a face detection service.
Can I blur parts of a video?
Not with this tool: it works on pictures. To hide something in a video, crop it out with the crop video tool.
Which browsers work?
Current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. Safari cannot save WebP files, so it saves those as PNG.
