Free tool

AI voice over for your video.

Drop in a screen recording, a product demo or any clip, write what should be said, and set the moment each line starts. A natural AI voice reads the lines over the picture, the video's own sound dips while it speaks, and you get an MP4 back. Lines can also come from a subtitle file. Everything runs in this tab, so your video is never uploaded.

Your video and your words stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

Write it, time it, hear it.

01 / Open

Add your video

A screen recording, a demo or a clip from your phone. The picture is copied as it is, so it keeps its quality.

02 / Write

Lines with start times

Pause where a line belongs and add it, or import an SRT. Each line shows how long it lasts, and a line that runs into the next turns yellow.

03 / Save

MP4 with the voice

The voice is mixed over the video's sound, which dips while it speaks. Save the MP4, or the voice alone as WAV.

Questions

Good to know.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is read in this tab, the AI voice speaks here, and the new MP4 is made here. The first time, the page downloads the English voice engine, about 92 MB, and keeps it for next time.

Which voices can I use?

The same voices as our text to speech tool: eight English voices, plus Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic, Hindi and Bangla. Their licences allow commercial use; some ask for credit, listed on the text to speech page.

What does ducking mean?

The video's own sound, such as music or clicks, is turned down while the voice speaks and comes back up after, with a short fade either side. Set how far down it goes, or switch it off.

Can I use my subtitles as the script?

Yes. Import an SRT, VTT or SBV file and each subtitle becomes a line that starts at its time. To get subtitles from a video in another language first, use translate a video.

Can I record my own voice instead?

Not on this page. Record yourself with the voice recorder, then add the file with add music to video, which mixes any sound file into a video.
