Is my recording uploaded?
No. The browser records the microphone into this tab and makes the MP3 here, so your voice never leaves your computer.
Is there a time limit?
No limit is set here. The recording is kept in the browser's memory until you save it, so a recording of several hours can use a lot of memory.
What does "Reduce noise and echo" do?
It turns on the browser's own noise suppression, echo cancellation and automatic level. For deeper cleaning afterwards, use the AI audio enhancer or remove background noise.
Which format should I pick?
MP3 at 192 kbps suits voice notes and voice-overs and plays everywhere. WAV keeps every detail for editing, at about ten times the size.
Can I turn the recording into text?
Yes. Save it, then drop it into audio to text, which writes it out in your browser too.
