Questions

Good to know.

Is my file uploaded?

No. It is cut in this tab with a WebAssembly build of the LAME MP3 encoder, so the file never leaves your computer.

Which files can I cut?

MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG, FLAC, and the sound of MP4, MOV and WebM videos, as long as your browser can play them.

What does the fade do?

The sound rises from silence at the start and falls to silence at the end, so the cut does not start or stop abruptly.

Can I keep the original format?

Not yet. The cut is always saved as an MP3, which plays almost everywhere.

Can I make a ringtone?

Yes. Cut up to 30 seconds and save the MP3. An iPhone needs it turned into an M4R first in Finder or GarageBand.

Which browsers work?

Current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox.
