CSV to Excel, a real XLSX file.

Drop a CSV file or paste the text, check the first rows in the preview, and save a real Excel workbook. The separator is found for you, quotes and line breaks inside cells are handled, numbers become numbers you can add up, and the columns get sensible widths. Opens in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets and LibreOffice. Nothing is uploaded.

Converted in your browser with SheetJS Community Edition. Your data is never uploaded.

Clean conversion

Columns where they belong.

01 / Separator

Found for you

Commas, semicolons (common in Europe), tabs or pipes, picked from the first rows.

02 / Quotes

Handled properly

Cells with commas, quotes or line breaks inside quotes stay in one cell.

03 / Values

Numbers as numbers

So sums and charts work at once. Leading zeros, like zip codes, stay as text.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I convert CSV to Excel?

Drop the CSV or paste it, check the preview, then press Save the Excel file.

Why does my CSV open in one column in Excel?

Excel guessed the wrong separator. This page finds it and makes a proper XLSX.

Will leading zeros be kept?

Yes. Numbers that start with 0, like 02134, stay as text.

Is there a size limit?

Only your computer's memory. Files with hundreds of thousands of rows work.

Is my data uploaded?

No.
