Free tool

Excel to PDF, tables that fit the page.

Open an XLSX, XLS, ODS or CSV file and get a clean PDF of its sheets. The table shrinks to fit the page width, turns sideways when it is wide, repeats the header row on every page, keeps merged cells and number formats, and wraps long text inside its cell. Pick the sheets, see the first page, then download.

The spreadsheet is converted in your browser. It is never uploaded.

Questions

Good to know.

Will it look exactly like Excel?

It keeps the values as Excel shows them (number, date and currency formats), column widths and merged cells. Fonts, cell colours, charts, pictures and conditional formatting are not drawn; the table gets one clean style instead.

My table is very wide. What happens?

With "Shrink to fit" on, the whole table is scaled down to the page width, and the page turns sideways when that helps. Turn it off to keep the text size; columns that do not fit then continue on further pages.

Are formulas kept?

The PDF shows each formula's last saved result, as Excel would print it. A PDF cannot hold live formulas.

Can it open password-protected files?

No. Remove the password in Excel first, then open the file here.

Is my spreadsheet uploaded?

No. It is read with SheetJS (Apache 2.0 licence) inside this browser tab.
