Are my pictures uploaded?

No. They are converted in this tab with your browser, so they never leave your computer.

What is a JPG file?

JPG is the most widely accepted photo format: small and opened by everything, but with no see-through areas.

Why convert to PNG?

PNG keeps every pixel and supports see-through areas. Screenshots on a Mac are saved as PNG files.

Does it lower the quality?

PNG keeps every pixel of the picture as it is now, so nothing more is lost. Files are often larger than JPG.

Can I convert many at once?

Yes. Drop several pictures together. Download them one by one, or all at once in a ZIP file.

Will PNG make my photo sharper?

No. PNG keeps the photo exactly as it is now, so it cannot bring back detail the JPG left out. It also cannot add see-through areas by itself.
