Free tool

Pitch changer, new key, same speed.

Move a song up or down by semitones to fit your voice or your instrument, without making it faster or slower. Or change the tempo to practise slowly while the key stays the same. Listen to the result, then save it as MP3 or WAV. Nothing is uploaded.

Questions

Good to know.

How many semitones should I move?

A semitone is the step between two neighbouring piano keys. Two or three semitones down often suits a lower voice; twelve is a full octave. If you know the song's key, the song key finder helps you pick.

Does it change the speed?

No. The pitch moves while the length stays the same. Tempo is a separate slider, so you can slow a song down to practise without changing its key.

How good is the sound?

It uses a phase vocoder, the method behind most pitch tools. Small shifts sound natural; big shifts of more than about five semitones start to sound processed, especially on voices.

Is my song uploaded?

No. The sound is changed in this browser tab.
