Questions

Good to know.

Are my pictures uploaded?

No. They are converted in this tab with your browser, so they never leave your computer.

What is a PNG file?

PNG keeps every pixel and supports see-through areas. Screenshots on a Mac are saved as PNG files.

Why convert to WebP?

WebP is a web image format made by Google. A picture saved from a website is often a WebP, and some apps and upload forms do not accept it.

Does it lower the quality?

WebP at 90 percent looks the same as the original to most people and is often much smaller than PNG. Set 100 for the most detail.

Can I convert many at once?

Yes. Drop several pictures together. Download them one by one, or all at once in a ZIP file.

Which browsers work?

Current Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Safari cannot save WebP files.
