Free tool

Split a PDF, or take out pages.

See every page of a PDF, then save the ones you pick as a new PDF, split it by page ranges such as 1-3 and 4-8, or save each page as its own file. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays text, and nothing is uploaded. No sign-up, no watermark.

This runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.

Questions

Good to know.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It is split in this tab with your browser, so it never leaves your computer.

How do I take out just a few pages?

Keep "Pick pages", click the pages you want, and save. They go into one new PDF in their order. Shift and click picks a run of pages.

How do I write ranges?

Separate them with commas: 1-3, 4-8, 9 makes three PDFs. 10- means page 10 to the end. A range can repeat pages that are in another range.

How do I remove pages from a PDF?

Pick the pages you want to keep, or press Select all and click the pages to drop, then save. The new PDF has only the pages left.

Does splitting lower the quality?

No. The pages are copied as they are: text stays text you can select, and pictures are not compressed again.

Does it work with a password-protected PDF?

A PDF locked with a password cannot be read here. Open it, save a copy without the password, then split that copy.
