Questions

Good to know.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are drawn in this tab with your browser, so the file never leaves your computer.

Which resolution should I pick?

150 DPI is clear on any screen and keeps files small. 300 DPI is for printing or zooming into small text: an A4 or Letter page becomes about 2,500 pixels wide. 72 DPI is enough for a thumbnail.

JPG or PNG?

JPG gives small files and suits pages with photos. PNG keeps text and lines perfectly sharp but the files are larger.

Can I get one picture of a single page?

Yes. Pick just that page and it downloads as one picture, with no ZIP.

Will the text still be selectable?

No. A picture of a page is pixels, so the text cannot be selected or searched. To read the words out of a picture, use image to text.

Does it work with a password-protected PDF?

A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be read here. Open it, save a copy without the password, then convert that copy.
