Guide
30 days from today is the date you get by adding 30 days to today's date. The calculator above reads your device's clock, so the answer is right the moment the page opens: the date and weekday, how many weeks and days that is, and whether it is a business day. It also answers 30 days from now, because the date does not depend on the time of day. As a worked example, 30 days after Monday, October 19, 2026 is Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
30 is four weeks and two days: 4 × 7 is 28, and 2 are left over. The date is four whole weeks ahead plus two days, so the weekday moves forward by two. Monday becomes Wednesday, Thursday becomes Saturday and Friday becomes Sunday. That is a quick check on any answer: take today's weekday, move two on, and it should match the big card.
People often use "30 days" and "a month" as if they were one thing. A calendar month is between 28 and 31 days long, so the two agree only when the month has 30 days. The table shows six starting dates, 30 days later, and one calendar month later (the same day of the next month, or the last day when that month is shorter).
| Start | 30 days later | One month later | Days in one month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thu, Jan 1, 2026 | Sat, Jan 31, 2026 | Sun, Feb 1, 2026 | 31 |
| Sat, Jan 31, 2026 | Mon, Mar 2, 2026 | Sat, Feb 28, 2026 | 28 |
| Sun, Feb 1, 2026 | Tue, Mar 3, 2026 | Sun, Mar 1, 2026 | 28 |
| Tue, Mar 31, 2026 | Thu, Apr 30, 2026 | Thu, Apr 30, 2026 | 30 |
| Mon, Oct 19, 2026 | Wed, Nov 18, 2026 | Thu, Nov 19, 2026 | 31 |
| Mon, Nov 30, 2026 | Wed, Dec 30, 2026 | Wed, Dec 30, 2026 | 30 |
From 31 January 2026, one month later is 28 February, but 30 days later is 2 March. If your form says 30 days, count days here. If it says one month, set Unit to months, or use 3 months from today.
This calculator adds 30 to today's date, so tomorrow is day 1 and the answer is day 30. If you count today as day 1, the 30th day is only 29 days from today: type 29 in Amount. Documents differ on this, so read the wording before you rely on a date.
The cards also say whether the date is a business day, meaning Monday to Friday, and give the next business day on or after it. If the date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the next business day is the Monday after. With the holiday box ticked, the US federal holidays also count as days off. The list follows the US Office of Personnel Management list of federal holidays, checked 19 Oct 2026. For most federal employees a holiday on a Saturday is kept on the Friday before and one on a Sunday on the Monday after, and the calculator does the same. Inauguration Day, which applies to the Washington area every fourth year, is left out. Other countries' holidays are not included; the days between dates page lets you list your own.
As an example, 30 days from Monday, October 12, 2026 is Wednesday, November 11, 2026, which is Veterans Day. With the holiday box ticked, the Business day card says No and the next business day is Thursday, November 12, 2026.
Choose Count back to find the date 30 days ago. From Monday, October 19, 2026, that is Saturday, September 19, 2026. To count back from another day, change Count from as well.
This page only does the arithmetic. Notice periods, trial periods, return windows, deadlines in contracts and anything set by law each have their own rules for how days are counted, so check the wording in your own document or on the official page.
For longer spans, try 60 days from today or 90 days from today. To count the days between two dates you already have, use days between dates.
Questions
Add 30 to today's date. The big card above shows it with the weekday. For example, 30 days after Monday, October 19, 2026 is Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
For the date, yes. The calendar date 30 days ahead does not change with the time of day, so one answer covers both searches.
4 weeks and 2 days. Four weeks is 28 days, and 2 days are left over.
Not always. A month has 28 to 31 days, so 30 days matches one month only when that month has 30 days. The table in the guide shows the difference.
Choose Count back. With Count from on today, the card reads 30 days ago and shows the date.
No. Thirty days are calendar days. If you need 30 business days, use the Add or take away part of the days between dates page and pick business days.
Only the Business day cards use holidays, and only when you tick the box. The list is the US federal one from the Office of Personnel Management.
