Free tool

Flowchart maker, arrows that stay put.

Map a process, a decision or a user flow without fighting the tool. Add start, process, decision, input, document and note shapes, and press Tab to add the next step already joined. Drag a shape's blue dot onto another to connect them; arrows bend neatly and follow when you move things. Label decisions Yes and No, colour the shapes, and save an SVG, PNG or PDF.

Tab adds the next step. Enter edits. Double-click the board for a new shape. Scroll to move, pinch or Command and scroll to zoom.

The flowchart is drawn and kept in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

The shapes

Standard symbols, plain meanings.

01 / Start and end

Rounded ends

Where the flow begins and stops. Every chart needs at least one of each.

02 / Process and decision

Box and diamond

A box is a step someone does. A diamond is a question with two or more ways out, labelled Yes and No.

03 / Input and documents

Slant and wave

A slanted box takes something in or puts something out; the wavy box is a document or report.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I connect two shapes?

Select a shape, then drag one of its blue dots onto the other shape. Or select a shape and press Tab to add the next step, already joined.

How do I label an arrow Yes or No?

Double-click the arrow and type. Arrows leaving a decision are labelled Yes and No for you.

Will my chart be saved?

It is kept in this browser as you work. Use Save file to keep a copy you can open here again, or on another computer.

Can I use it in a document or slide?

Yes. PNG is twice the size for sharp slides, SVG scales without blur, and PDF prints on A4.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no limit on shapes.
