Free tool

Increase video volume.

Make a quiet video or screen recording louder. A soft limiter holds back the loudest parts so the sound does not crackle, and the picture is copied as it is. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

This runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.

Questions

Good to know.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The sound is changed in this tab with your browser, so the file never leaves your computer.

Will it crackle?

Sound that goes past the loudest level a file can hold usually crackles. A soft limiter bends those peaks down instead, and the result says how much it had to work.

Does it change the picture?

No. The picture is copied as it is, so it keeps its quality.

How loud should I go?

Start with 200 percent. If the result says the limiter worked a lot, or it sounds squashed, try a lower level.

Why is my screen recording so quiet?

Laptop microphones are often set low, or far from your mouth. Check the level before you record with the webcam and mic test.

Which browsers work?

Current Chrome, Edge and Safari.
