Free tool

Org chart maker, from a simple list.

Type one person per line with their role after a comma, and indent the people who report to them. The org chart lays itself out as you type, top down or left to right, with lines that stay neat however many people you add. Pick a colour, then save a PNG for slides, an SVG to edit, or a PDF to print. Nothing to drag around, and the list stays in your browser.

Two spaces or a tab per level. A dash at the start of a line is fine too.

The chart is drawn in your browser. Names are never uploaded; the list is kept in this browser for next time.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I make an org chart?

Type one person per line, with their role after a comma, and indent the people who report to them by two spaces or a tab.

Can I have more than one person at the top?

Yes. Every line with no indent starts its own tree.

What if the chart gets too wide?

Switch to Left to right, or make one chart per team.

Can I edit the result?

Save the SVG and open it in Figma, Illustrator or Keynote.

Is my list uploaded?

No. It stays in your browser.
