Is my file uploaded?
No. It is converted in this tab with your browser, so the file never leaves your computer.
What is a TS file?
TS (MPEG transport stream) comes from TV recordings, some cameras and streaming tools, and OBS Studio can record to it. Many editors and phones do not open it.
Why convert to MP4?
MP4 is the most widely accepted video format: phones, editors, YouTube and most websites take it.
Does it lower the quality?
Usually not. When the picture and sound can go into the new file as they are, they are copied with no loss, and the result says so. If not, they are re-encoded, with a small loss.
Is there a size limit?
The file is handled in your browser's memory, so very large files can fail. Close other tabs and try again.
Which browsers work?
Copying works in current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. When the picture must be re-encoded, use Chrome, Edge or Safari.
