01 / Calls
A soft light for your face
Put a white window beside your call at full brightness: your face is lit evenly from the front, like a small ring light. Warm it up for skin tones.
Free tool
A plain white screen that fills your whole display. Use it as a soft light for your face on a video call or a recording, to see dust and smudges while you clean the screen, to trace a drawing, or to check a monitor. Make it warmer or cooler, dim it, set a timer, and switch to black or any colour from the same page.
Esc leaves. Space or the arrow keys change the colour while it is full screen.
Light
It all happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
Ways to use it
01 / Calls
Put a white window beside your call at full brightness: your face is lit evenly from the front, like a small ring light. Warm it up for skin tones.
02 / Cleaning
Smudges, dust and streaks stand out on white. Switch to black to see the opposite kind.
03 / Checking
On white, a dark (dead) pixel or uneven backlight is easy to spot. The dead pixel test cycles through every colour for you.
Questions
Press Esc, or move the pointer to the top on a Mac and use the green button. A timer can also leave by itself.
While the white screen is full screen, the page asks the browser to keep the screen awake. Most current browsers allow it; when it ends, sleep works as before.
It helps in a dark room: the screen lights your face from the front. A lamp or a window in front of you is brighter, but the screen is always there.
Yes: black, warm white, daylight, red, green, blue, yellow, grey, or any colour you pick. The black screen page starts on black.
