01 / You
Hair, face, teeth
Zoom in for a close look, the way you would lean into a bathroom mirror.
Free tool
Check your hair, your face or what is in the background before a call or a recording. Your webcam shows you flipped like a real mirror, with zoom for a closer look, brightness, and a white light frame that lights your face in a dark room. Go full screen, freeze a moment, or save a snapshot.
A mirror shows you reversed. Untick to see yourself as others see you on a call.
Light
Turn your screen brightness up and go full screen: the white frame acts like a soft ring light.
The camera picture stays in this tab. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Questions
Most video apps show your own picture mirrored, like a mirror, but send it to others the right way round. So text on your shirt reads backwards to you and correctly to them. Untick "Flip like a mirror" to see what they see.
No. The picture only plays in this tab. A snapshot is saved only when you press the button, and it goes straight to your downloads.
Allow the camera when the browser asks, or click the camera icon in the address bar. On a Mac, also check System Settings, Privacy and Security, Camera, and make sure no other app is using the camera.
Yes. Open this page on the phone and allow the camera. The front camera is used first; pick another under Camera.
Zoom enlarges the camera's picture, it does not add detail. Built-in laptop cameras show it most; a better camera or more light helps.
