Questions
The picture is a correct EAN or UPC barcode, but shops need the number inside it to be yours. Retail numbers come from GS1, the organisation that hands out company prefixes; a made-up number can clash with another company's product. Get your numbers from GS1 in your country, then make the barcodes here.
EAN, UPC and ITF-14 end in a digit worked out from the others, so a scanner can tell when it misread a bar. Type 12 digits for EAN-13 (or 11 for UPC-A) and the last digit is added for you. If you type all 13, the tool checks that the last one is right.
SVG is drawn from shapes, so the bars stay sharp at any size: use it for print and packaging design. PNG works everywhere; 4x is enough for most labels.

Where the browser can read barcodes (Chrome on a Mac or on Android, for example), this page reads each new code back and says whether it scans. Print one and test it with your own scanner before printing many.
