Free tool

Compress a PDF to 100 KB, or any size you need.

Forms and job sites often ask for a PDF under 100 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB. Pick the limit, drop the PDF, and the tool tries step by step, gentlest first, until the file fits, then shows the page before and after. Text stays selectable whenever the size allows it. Nothing is uploaded.

This runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.

Questions

Good to know.

Can every PDF get under 100 KB?

Most one or two page documents and scans can. A long PDF full of photos may not reach 100 KB and stay readable; then the page tells you the smallest size it reached, and you can split the PDF or remove pages first.

Will my text stay sharp?

Yes, as long as shrinking the pictures is enough: text and drawings are not touched. Only the last steps turn pages into pictures, which can blur small print, and the page says so when that happens.

My scan is still too big.

A scan is one big picture per page. Scan again at a lower resolution or in black and white, or cut pages you do not need with delete PDF pages.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in this browser tab, which matters for IDs and certificates.

I just want it smaller, not a set size.

Use compress PDF, where you pick how strong the compression is.
