01 / Vector
Nothing is turned into a picture
Each page is placed on the new paper as it is, so text stays sharp and selectable and the file stays small.
Free tool
Turn a Letter PDF into A4, shrink an A3 poster onto A4, or put every page on one size when a file mixes them. Pick the paper size or type your own, then fit each page inside, fill the page edge to edge, or keep the content at its actual size in the middle. Add a margin if the printer needs one. Pages are placed as they are, so text stays sharp and can still be selected.
The PDF is resized in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How it works
01 / Vector
Each page is placed on the new paper as it is, so text stays sharp and selectable and the file stays small.
02 / Fit or fill
Fit keeps the whole page with white space where the shapes differ; fill covers the page and trims what spills over.
03 / Mixed files
Scans and exports that mix Letter, A4 and odd sizes come out on one page size, ready to print or merge.
Questions
Drop the PDF, pick A4 and Fit inside the page, then Resize. Letter is a little wider and shorter than A4, so a thin band of white space appears at the top and bottom.
No. Pages are placed as vector content, not turned into pictures, so text stays sharp and can still be selected and searched.
This changes the paper size, not the file size. To make the file lighter, use Compress PDF.
