Guide
A 30 minute timer counts down 1,800 seconds and rings at zero. Thirty minutes is half an hour, long enough for a workout, a lesson or a proper meeting. This one has soft cues at halfway and with one minute left, a label, rounds, and full screen mode, and it shows the clock time it ends. It keeps correct time in a background tab.
The CDC's page for adults says they need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity a week (CDC guidelines for adults, checked 24 Oct 2026). Divide 150 by 30 and you get five, so five sessions of 30 minutes add up to that figure. Pick the label Workout, press Start, and use the halfway chime as the point to change what you are doing. This page only counts time; it is not medical advice, and a doctor can say what is right for you.
A half hour slot works when everyone can see the clock. Put the timer in full screen on a shared display. The halfway chime tells the room that 15:00 is left; the one minute left chime asks for the final decisions. A teacher can use the same pattern: 15 minutes of explaining and 15 of practice. For a lunch break, choose Chime so the end is gentle.
Thirty minutes is a good block for work that needs thought, such as a report or a design. Close messaging, label the block Deep work, and start. The tab title shows the time left, so you can see it from another tab, and Keep the screen on stops the display from dimming while the page is in view.

Need 35 minutes? Press +1 min five times, or type 35 in Any other time. For a longer session, step up to the 45 minute timer or the 60 minute timer.
Divide a half hour lesson or session as 5 minutes to set up, 15 minutes for the main part and 10 minutes to practise or wrap up: 5 + 15 + 10 = 30. The halfway chime at 15:00 left falls in the middle of the main part. Pick the split that matches your own session and write it before you press Start.
