02 / Class
If your lesson or lecture slot is 45 minutes, show the ring in full screen so everyone can see the time left.
03 / Focus
The first 10 minutes are often the slowest. A 45 minute block gives you time past them.
Guide
A 45 minute timer counts down 2,700 seconds and rings at zero. Forty-five minutes is three quarters of an hour, long enough for a lesson or a deep study block, with 15 minutes of an hour left over for a break. This timer has soft cues at halfway and with one minute left, a label, rounds, and full screen mode. It keeps correct time in a background tab.
Forty-five plus fifteen is sixty, so a 45 minute block with a 15 minute break fits one hour exactly. Start the timer on the hour, say 2:00 pm. It rings at 2:45 pm. Take the break, then start the next block at 3:00 pm. Run the break with the 15 minute timer so it ends on time too. This is a planning pattern, not a rule from any study.
A teacher or a tutor can use the halfway chime as a signal. It sounds when 22:30 is left, which is the middle of the lesson. The one minute left chime is the cue to collect questions. Put the timer in full screen on the board or a spare screen, and set Sound to Chime for a gentler end. If your lesson length is not 45 minutes, type yours in Any other time.
On a long block the digits change every second, which is easy to ignore. The ring changes slowly and shows how much of the block is gone, at a glance. At 45 minutes, one degree of the ring is about 7.5 seconds, so you will see it move about once every few seconds. Use it with the halfway and one minute left chimes, rather than watching either.

An hour does not divide by 45, so rounds run past it: 2 rounds are 90 minutes, which is 1.5 hours. For one block and a break, use the timer here and then the 15 minute timer.
Divide the block into 5 minutes of warm-up, 35 minutes of the main work and 5 minutes to wrap up: 5 + 35 + 5 = 45. The halfway chime plays when 22:30 is left, the middle of the main work, and the one minute chime falls in the last minute of the wrap-up. Note where you stopped before the bell, so the next block starts in one step.
Questions
2,700 seconds. The timer counts from 45:00 to 0:00.
Three quarters, or 0.75 of an hour. The remaining 15 minutes make up the hour.
When 22:30 is left, if you ticked "Soft chime at halfway".
Yes. Put it in full screen on a shared display. The ring and numbers are large enough to read across a room.
Yes. It is booked on the browser sound clock at Start, so the tab being hidden does not delay it. Keep the computer awake.
Open the 15 minute timer and press Start when this one rings.
