Spin the wheel, pick one at random.

Type names, prizes or choices, one per line, and spin. The wheel ticks past each slice, slows down and lands on the winner. Every slice has the same chance. Take the winner off for the next spin, keep a list of results, and go full screen for a giveaway, a class or a live stream.

Entries

The wheel runs in your browser. Your list is kept in this browser only.

Fair by design

The winner is picked before it stops.

01 / Random

Secure random numbers

The browser's cryptographic random number source picks the slice, the same kind used for passwords.

02 / Equal

Same chance each

Every entry gets an equal slice and an equal chance, whatever its place on the wheel.

03 / Then the show

The spin lands on it

The wheel then turns several times and slows down onto that slice, so the spin is for fun, not luck.

Questions

Good to know.

Is the wheel really random?

Yes. Each spin uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's secure random source, to choose one entry with equal odds. Where the wheel was before the spin makes no difference.

Can I give someone more chances?

Yes. Write the name on more lines: a name on three lines has three slices and three times the chance.

How many entries can I add?

Up to 500. With many entries the names get small, so full screen helps.

Can I use it for a giveaway on a stream?

Yes. Paste the entrants, press Full screen and share that window. Turning on "Take the winner off after each spin" lets you draw several winners in a row.

Are my entries saved?

In this browser only, so the list is still there next time. Nothing is sent anywhere.
